Unleashed Love took in a litter of puppies, but the transport did not know that they had already been exposed to parvo. Mercy discovered this late and knew they needed to do whatever they could to save the puppies. Dr. Stacie and crew drove to the puppies in the middle of the night to get them the canine parvo monoclonal antibody injection, literally saving their lives.

Atom (Atomic Dawg) is a greyhound that Dr. Stacie originally treated for a bacterial infection. After he punctured his leg, Atom went to Mercy for antibiotics. His foster parents were in close communication with Dr. Stacie as the wound was not responding well to treatment. After late-night sessions, Dr. Stacie took Atom into her clinic for surgery and recovery. Atom’s wound continued to get worse and eventually an amputation was needed on the leg. After the amputation surgery, Dr. Stacie continued to monitor him until one night, he spiked a fever and another late-night visit showed that his infection was back. Once again, Dr. Stacie saved the day and treated Atom, who was then adopted and is now in his forever home, living happy and healthy as a tripod with two other greyhounds!

Mia came into the clinic as a referral from a local animal welfare organization. Mia’s owner had been to several other veterinarians to figure out what was going on with her. Mia was about to be put down because no vet could figure out what was wrong, but the organization knew that Dr. Stacie did not give up on any animal and sent her owner to Mercy. Mercy spent weeks trying to figure out what was wrong with Mia, eventually discovering a fungal infection. Mia had to have an enucleation in both eyes but she (and her owner!) and forever thankful to Mercy for giving her a second chance. Mia is now happy and back to her normal self, visiting the clinic whenever she can to show her gratitude.
