Stacie Kreiser – DVM

Dr. Stacie grew up in Grand Rapids, MI, where she worked as a veterinary assistant during her high school and undergrad years. She completed her undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University with a BS in Biomedical Science. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree, she continued her studies at Michigan State University for Veterinary Sciences. She graduated from MSU with her DVM in 2018. Initially, her career began in shelter medicine, but she gradually moved into surgical services in private practice. Dr. Stacie has particular interests in sighthound medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, anesthesia and pain management. When not busy at work, she enjoys spending time with her 7 dogs: Addison, Kyle, Nellie, Scotty and Mickey, all greyhounds, and Chiari and Wynnie, both whippets, training in agility or watching her dogs run in FastCat. Dr. Stacie likes to dabble in human medicine from time to time, working as a resource Certified Surgical Technologist in a surgical center in Grand Rapids.

Missy Root – Veterinary Tech

Missy graduated from Baker College of Veterinary Technology program in 2012 and has been in small animal practice ever since. Her passion for animals started at a young age, volunteering at a feline rescue and shadowing/interning at small animal clinics in high school. Her main interests in veterinary medicine are dentistry, anesthesiology, surgical assisting and phlebotomy. Outside of work, she shares her home with Bowie, a sweet corgi and Echo, a feisty feline. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, backpacking, hiking, concerts and cosplay.
