“I had a rough upbringing; my entire world was my Siberian husky Rex, who helped me through some of the largest trials of my life. I have always been a strong-willed, determined individual who seeks justice and fairness for all. My childhood was spent fantasizing about becoming a veterinarian. I decided at 3 years old that this was my calling and never wavered. I knew my life’s purpose was to advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves, the most vulnerable.”

Love Story #1: When Unleashed Love welcomed a litter of puppies, no one realized they carried a hidden danger—parvo. By the time Mercy Veterinary Coalition uncovered the truth, every second counted. In a race against time, Dr. Stacie and her devoted team jumped into action, driving through the night to deliver lifesaving canine parvo monoclonal antibody injections. Thanks to their unwavering commitment, these puppies were given a second chance at life.

Love Story #2: Meet Atom—better known as Atomic Dawg—a resilient greyhound whose journey is nothing short of inspiring. After injuring his leg, Atom’s first visit to Dr. Stacie was for a simple bacterial infection, but his wound refused to heal. With his devoted foster parents and Dr. Stacie by his side, Atom underwent surgery, but complications meant his injured leg had to be amputated. When Atom spiked a sudden fever late one night, she rushed to his aid for emergency treatment. The infection had returned. Dr. Stacie treated him again, and Atom not only survived but thrived. He even found his forever home and lives joyfully as a tripod with two other greyhound friends!

Love Story #3: Mia came into the clinic as a referral from a local animal welfare organization. After countless visits to other veterinarians left Mia’s family with no answers—and no hope—she was going to be put down. But the organization remembered Dr. Stacie’s reputation for never giving up on any animal and sent her to Mercy Veterinary Coalition. From the moment Mia arrived, the team refused to quit, tirelessly searching for answers amid weeks of uncertainty. Finally, they uncovered the hidden culprit: a severe fungal infection. Though she had to have an enucleation in both eyes, she never lost her spirit. Today, Mia is back to her joyful self, visiting the clinic often to shower the team with affection and gratitude. Thanks to Dr. Stacie’s relentless care and compassion, Mia and her family were given the second chance they never thought possible.
